After listening to several hundred amphora, we chose this round one as the basic overtone series. It was placed by a balcony overlooking the busy "4th of November"street and sat there generating overtones in response to the flow of traffic. Busses activate the fundamental, vespas activate higher overtones. A small mic suspended inside sent this transformed sound to a speaker on site in real-time. Somehow this musical version of traffic was meditative, and peaceful. It had an impact on the psychology of navigating the site, giving it tonality and direction, and a magical atmosphere detached from mundane city noise. We felt protected by the overtones.
